Mailbag reads your Gmail or iCloud inbox and sorts it. Machine mail goes into seven folders. People go to your archive. Press Clear inbox and it is empty. Nothing is deleted.
Web, iPhone and Mac.
Clear inbox files the machine mail and archives the rest. Your inbox is empty when it finishes. File everything is the gentler one: it leaves mail from people where it is.
Receipts, travel, dev, newsletters, social, promotions and junk. Each one is a real label in Gmail or a real folder in iCloud, under a folder called Mailbag.
Plain rules go first. They know a receipt, a build alert and a boarding pass. A small AI model then reads the sender and subject of machine mail the rules could not place. It never sees mail from people.
Filing moves mail out of your inbox and into its folder. Junk is only for mail that looks like a scam, and it gets a folder too. Delete is a separate button, and in Gmail it goes to Trash, not the void.
Mail with no sign of a machine, no unsubscribe link, no no-reply address, is treated as a person. It is never filed. Debt and legal notices are never filed either. The sorter can still misjudge machine mail, so if something seems missing, look in a folder.
The list is a preview. Nothing moves until you press a button. Unsubscribe is one click and sends the sender's own one-click request where they support it.
